Hi, I'm Carrye from The Invitation Monkey ~ art by carrye. I believe that providing my customers with a top quality product is the key to a successful business. All of my designs are originally painted by me. I always aim to please and am very proud to say that I have many very satisfied customers. Most all of my customers are delighted by the quality of my product and the personal customer service that i provide. I have email after wonderful email of customers saying how pleased they were with the orders they have received. Paper Types (The Invitation Monkey is GREEN/ECO-FRIENDLY) All of the paper that I use is MADE CARBON NEUTRAL The paper company I use is a member of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX®), the world’s first and North America’s only voluntary and legally binding greenhouse gas emission reduction and trading system. As a member, the paper company that I use is committed to reduce its carbon footprint, or net greenhouse gas emissions, associated with the papers that I use. In addition, the textured paper is GREEN SEAL CERTIFIED, which means that it's recycled paper and made with a minimum of 30% post consumer fiber and that mill processes, including packaging, and are environmentally preferable. Both papers are extremely high quality invitation papers.The Smooth paper is a heavyweight cotton matte finish 135 lb cardstock paper (white) which comes standard on all products and I also offer printing on Hand-Cut textured Watercolor paper (GREEN SEAL CERTIFIED)(white)also 135 lb cardstock, which is the same paper that I use to paint all of the original designs. On the textured paper, the printed design looks as close to an original Watercolor as it gets. Both are very good quality and it's really a personal preference. For the perfectionist I recommend the watercolor paper. It turns out just Perfect! I have never had ONE complaint about either papers. They are both very expensive and absolute TOP Quality. Processing Time It typically takes 3 to 4 business days to process and print an order and get it out for shipping. Expediting Orders*Rush Processing Service Fee $15.00
Shipping Currently I only ship via UPS because of their reliability and tracking methods. I am not responsible for the timeframe in which your package is shipped once it is in UPS' hands. I can not be held liable for recovering any shipping costs if the item is not received on expected due date. I will make all efforts to recover your expenses from UPS. If a package is lost by UPS I will replace it as soon as possible or give the customer a full refund as soon as UPS agrees that the package is lost. They will contact you and must have your verbal agreement that the package is lost before refunding your money; this does not happen very often. On rare occassions a customer places an order and provides me with an address that UPS returns b/c it is an undeliverable UPS address. I do specify on the check out form that i currently only ship UPS. If this occurs, it is the customers responsibility to provide me with a correct UPS deliverable address and the customers responsibilty to incur all additional delivery charge fees. UPS does not give me a credit for returned packages and in fact, i'm charged to ship it back to me as well. Please understand that I am a small business and do not have time to research alternative methods to get your package to you. International Shipping I do ship items all around the world. My website usually is unable to calculate the shipping costs, but if you place an order on my website I will email you back with shipping cost and timeframe. Proofs I will be happy to design and email a proof to any customer once an order has been placed. I do charge $2.00 for a proof simply because it does take about 30 min. of my time, which is much less than any of my competitors who charge between $5 to $15 per item. Once you approve the proof then it will typically take 2 to 3 days to expedite sometimes sooner. A proof is always a good idea for you (the customers) best interest because if there are any reasonable changes that you'd like for me to make I will be happy to do so. This also avoids any confusion as to what the font actually looks like with your text and choice of design. Change Orders If a customer has any changes or additions to the order that they'd like to make on a personalized order after placing the order, I require an email sent to me entitled "CHANGE ORDER on order #..." and there may be up to 24 hour delay on the order to insure that the CHANGE is properly made. If i print the order and then the customer makes a change then it is not my responsibility to incur the cost of the item; it is the customers responsibility to incur the cost of the item. I try and expedite orders very quickly, usually within a few hours of receiving them sometimes even sooner. If the order is already printed then it's not my responsibilty to replace the order if you decide changes need to be made. Font Styles It is the customers responsibility when choosing a font style. I do have a link to view the fonts that are available on my site. Sometimes the capitalization offered in the font styles may vary from what you type in the field. Some fonts are all Capital letters and some Lowercase and others irregular. If I feel the font style does not look good because of layout, text, capitalization etc., i will inform you via email, however, it is the customers responsibilty when choosing fonts to view my list to see how the font will actually appear. I do prefer that all orders be placed online using the standard ordering method and not be called in on the phone b/c then there is no discrepancy if there are any errors. We will both have a hard copy to refer to. I will happily talk to you on the phone to talk about an order, design an order or answer any questions, but just prefer that an actually order be placed online to avoid problems. If you do not have access to the internet then i will accept an order on the telephone. Printed Colors The colors may not print exactly as they appear on the screen b/c of brightness of the screen and different computers etc. I always use colors that i believe compliment each individual design. I am not responsible for replacing or refunding any mdse where the color is not exactly as viewed b/c the colors all differ slightly. It is my opinion that the images on my site do not even remotely do the actual printed invitations justice. The actual printed invitation is an exceptional quality, which the jpeg cannot provide because the resolution is lowered on my website so that it will not too long to upload. Currently, I do Not print on my envelopes. Custom Designs I am always interested in new ideas for all of my items; so please do not hesitate to ask if you do not see what you are looking for. If it's a really good idea, i may not charge you at all. Depending on the design, the cost for a custom design can vary from $75- and up and also depends on order volume. I also offer custom designs with all right to the design (you own the design);starting at $250- and up. Design Modifications I am asked quite frequently to modify some of my existing designs by either combining several designs or making changes. Typically, modifying a design can take me from 20 minutes to over an hour. B/c my time is so limited, i am now having to charge a one time $5- to $15- fee for invitations, and a $3- fee for notecards, namecards, labels etc. I only sell in the quantities that you see available for ordering. I only offer the size invitations that you see offered on my website. All invitations take a standard stamp. They are not oversized. I will sell the invitations unprinted and uncut however there is no discount offered b/c all of my items are printed to order. Please do not hesitate to call me to discuss any designs Monday thru Sunday (8 am to 5 pm Central Time Zone). I will always get back with you in a timely fashion (usually within a few hours) M-F and on the weekends if time permits. You may not return personalized notecards or other personalized items as I cannot resell these items. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide correct spelling of all personalized merchandise. If an item is mispelled by me I will happily resend a replacement item as quickly as possible. My policy for any errors on my part is that I reprint the item and reship the item ups ground or at my discretion 3 day select or if the customer originally had the order shipped 2nd day or next day i will match that in my resending. Mistakes do sometimes happen and i'm very sorry when this happens. It is a huge inconvenience to you as a customer and to me as well and I take all precautions to minimize any errors in orders. If I cannot replace an item in a timely fashion you will be issued a full credit. I design proofs usually within 48 hours of an order being placed. I copy and paste your text most of the time to reduce errors and exclusions. If you have approved a proof then this is considered a final approval of your item and I am not responsible for errors or exclusions. If you decide to cancel an order after you have placed it, there will be a 10% cancellation fee. If you decide to cancel an order after you've received a proof, there will be a 15% cancellation fee. I'm sorry for this fee, but i takes up to an hours time just to create 1 quality invitation proof. We do not charge to change or modify an existing orders proof.
I can paint Original Paintings to match any invitations or can paint your childs favorite stuffed animal, doll or toy. I paint with watercolor & acrylic on watercolor paper or canvas. Call me for a quote. Starting at around $175- and Up. These are considered commissioned pieces and are non-returnable/non-refundable; however, i do take extra care and pride in all of my work. *I do need about 4 to 8 weeks lead time.
All of my items are copyright protected. These are all of my original paintings and can not be reproduced without permission by me or I do have the right to press legal charges. I do have a copyright printed on the back of most of my items. This protects me and my original artwork. This excludes return address label, book labels and laminated tags, however these items are still copyright protected. Items I allow to be Copied For purchasing customers I will allow for Cakes and other edible birthday items to be copied for personal use only. No item can be resold with my designs without permission from me. For all cake shops, please consider this a written consent to reproduce my design on any edible item. You may have the cake shop call me if necessary. 251.401.8175. I do offer custom jpeg designs that match invitations(just the design)that you may use to make t-shirts, mugs, and other items that can be used for party favors starting at $15-.
